Beginning Entry
Well, I did it. Here's my first attempt. We had a somewhat busy weekend. Did a little weed-whacking on Saturday. On Sunday all the folks that live on our common road had a "street party" out on the road near our driveway. Dennis cooked four chickens on the smoker. Others made burgers, brats and everyone brought side dishes. Way too much food. But we figured as long as he was heating up the smoker might as well cook a few. Froze up a lot for some days when I don't feel like cooking. It was an afternoon gathering, so we were all back at our houses by 6:00. the weather cooperated although at times it looked like it might rain. Went for a walk this morning with three other gals that live up here. They said it was the "short loop" but I was puffing on the hilly parts. I don't think I will be up to the long loop for a while until I can build up more stamina
Seems like longer that three weeks since Mom went to be with the Lord. When I'm busy or with other people, it doesn't seem as hard, but it's the early morning waking up or going to sleep that seems the worst, and the days that I always called her. Little reminders pop up, like when I was walking past the birthday greeting cards and saw the "mother" section. I guess that will get some better with the passing of time.
Hear some thunder action in the background, so maybe we'll get a little shower. As for me, I'll be inside doing laundry, etc. 'Til next time.

I know what you mean about the little things. I always called her on Sunday evening. Now, when we are driving back from the campground on Sunday afternoon I can’t stop looking at my watch. I would always look at my watch to make sure I was going to make it home in time. If not, I would call on my cell.
Made some reservations at the campground for the weekend of 12, 13 and 14 and had the same problem you did with the 9/14 date.

Good job on the blog. Yea I know what you mean. There are days that I think I should go over there and then think no she’s not there. I took her clothes out to the car to take to goodwill. I talked to Pastor Cynova and he is getting the c/ds ready. Will ship them out when I get them.
