I Guess It's Winter
After having really nice weather for most of November, we got enough snow Friday night that we had to clear the driveway and deck. I think it was around three inches. Today it was snowing again on the way to church and on the way home. Roads were a little bit slick although they had sanded, but the slushy stuff sort of pulled at the wheels. Stayed in all day once we got home.
I don't think we did much of anything last week, or at least I can't remember it, so it must not have been too exciting. Seems like I went to the grocery store every other day for something I still needed for Thanksgiving. We had a beautiful service at church again on Thanksgiving. They always close it with recognition for those who have served or are serving in the military as well as policemen, firemen, etc. Closed with God Bless America. Seems I always get teary-eyed every year. Another couple came for dinner, which we ate more towards evening, which worked out well. The dinner turned out pretty good and of course, we're still eating turkey. I even made homemade noodles which I had not done for many years (can't even remember when I last made them). They turned out okay even though they didn't look real pretty, but were not as good as Mom's. Memories went through my mind of Thanksgivings in the past going way back to when we always went to Uncle Fred and Aunt Clara's for Thanksgiving and of course, in later years, too, when Aunt Clara and Leona came out. It was nice to have some company here as then I didn't have as much time to dwell on stuff. I'm trying to get a few decorations up yesterday and today, although today I wasn't as much in the mood. Even though the snow looked pretty, it was also very overcast and the house felt cold. At least we didn't get that much. I have to go out tomorrow for dentist and haircut and maybe some other errands while I'm out. Maybe with it being the beginning of the week, the stores will be less crowded. The weather guy said that another storm may come this way on Wednesday, so I guess I'm going to have to plan my outings around that. I picked a couple of tags off the "giving tree" at church today, so I would like to get those gifts bought this week, if possible, so that I can take them back next Sunday. I guess that is all from out west.

We had snow during the night and this morning too. It looked like we may have gotten around 3 inches or so. Alvin didn’t seem to mind it quite as much this time. It is nice to look back at those past Thanksgivings and have the nice memories.
