Back Home
We're back home again. Arrived home about 5:15 MDT. It was a bit cloudy here on Friday morning when we left but as we drove about 30 or so miles west it was sunny and beautiful for the whole weekend. Nice warm days but the nights were really chilly. The town of Ouray sits in a valley or canyon so once the sun goes down it gets really cool. On Saturday we drove over to Telluride. Had never been there before. The drive over was beautiful but didn't like the town all that well. Not sure what the big attraction is. They do have skiing there (which we don't do) but as far as the shops, etc. there are a lot nicer towns. Almost seemed a bit "hippie-like". They also have a big bluegrass festival over there every year, and we do like bluegrass, but I'm sure we wouldn't like all the people. We left around 8:30 this morning and took a little bit different route home. We were going to drive through Aspen (have never been there either), but one of the couples was wanting to be able to pick up their dog at the boarding place yet today, so we connected up with I-70 to make a bit better time. We did see some other beautiful scenery going over the Grand Mesa area that we had not seen before, so it was still a nice drive. I was just as happy to get home a little sooner also. It will be nice to be in my own bed tonight, as I didn't really sleep that well while we were gone. The accommodations were nice, but there's no place like home!

Glad you are back home safely. I know what you mean about sleeping in your own bed. I always feel that way too.
